Never before I began this position as the Executive Director of the Corporate Responsibility Association did I think too much about my own personal supply chain. Yes, I suppose I cared about it, but did not go out of the way to make sure the supply chain was responsible. I do now.
We all have personal supply chains; we have to. Our utilities, our groceries, our transportation and technology choices, nearly everything we do, want and have, has a supply chain. One of the interesting quandaries I found myself in recently was a need for new sporting equipment. I have two sons in high school and they both play hockey. My oldest Chase is a forward and loves to shoot the puck and score goals. My other son, Josh, is a goalie. His mindset is the opposite. If you have kids in high school, you know how quickly they grow.
